Discord Digest AI Privacy Policy

Discord Digest AI reads only the Discord Web messages you select. Those messages are sent for AI processing only when you click Analyze. Temporary backend jobs expire after approximately 24 hours. Saved results are stored locally in your Chrome profile.

Effective and last updated: June 15, 2026

1. What Discord Digest AI Does

Discord Digest AI lets you select a range of messages that is currently available in Discord Web and request an AI-generated summary, answer, list of decisions, action items, or shared links and files. Results may include evidence quotes connected to the selected Discord messages.

The extension is read-only. It does not send Discord messages, automatically reply or react, use your Discord authentication token, or retrieve private Discord content through the Discord API.

AI accuracy notice: AI-generated results may be incomplete, misleading, or incorrect. Review important conclusions against the original Discord messages and linked evidence. The extension is not a substitute for professional legal, medical, financial, safety, or other high-stakes advice.

2. Information We Process

Depending on how you use the extension, we may process:

Discord messages may contain personal, confidential, or sensitive information about you or other people. You are responsible for choosing content that you are permitted to process and for avoiding information that should not be submitted to an external AI service.

  • Selected Discord content: message text, displayed author names, timestamps, links, attachment names or metadata, and local message identifiers from the conversation range you select.
  • Discord context: the displayed server, channel, or thread name and identifiers, the Discord page URL, and optional explanatory Channel Context that you save or submit.
  • Your requests and AI results: the selected analysis mode, questions you enter, generated summaries or answers, decisions, action items, links, evidence quotes, limitations, and request status.
  • Installation and usage information: a randomly generated installation identifier, extension version, Free or Pro plan, daily usage counts, message count, timestamps, job status, errors, and basic operational events.
  • Subscription information: ExtensionPay user API credential, subscription status, payment or trial timestamps, and an email address returned by ExtensionPay. We do not receive or store full payment-card numbers, card security codes, or raw payment-method details.
  • Network and security information: infrastructure providers may process IP addresses, HTTP metadata, device or browser metadata, and security logs as part of delivering and protecting the service. API access logs do not include request or response bodies.

3. When Discord Content Is Accessed and Sent

The content script observes the currently loaded Discord Web interface so you can choose the beginning and end of a message range. The extension collects the messages available between those selections for preview in the side panel.

Selected messages and optional Channel Context are sent to our backend only when you explicitly click Analyze. Opening Discord, opening the side panel, selecting messages, or previewing the range does not by itself submit the message text to our AI backend.

4. Information Stored Locally

The extension may store the following in your Chrome profile:

This local data remains until you delete saved items or context, clear the extension's storage, reset the Chrome profile, or uninstall the extension. Local extension data may be accessible to anyone who can access your unlocked Chrome profile.

  • a random installation identifier;
  • optional Channel Context saved for particular servers, channels, or threads;
  • saved digest results, including generated text and evidence quotes, for up to 250 saved items;
  • ExtensionPay local user and subscription state; and
  • temporary interface preferences and current workflow state.

5. How We Use Information

We use information only as reasonably necessary to:

We do not sell selected Discord content or use it for personalized, retargeted, or interest-based advertising.

  • maintain Free and Pro usage limits;
  • verify and manage subscription status through ExtensionPay;
  • prevent abuse, investigate failures, and protect service security; and
  • comply with applicable legal obligations.

6. Service Providers and Data Sharing

Information is shared only as needed to provide and protect the service, including with:

We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to valid legal process, to investigate fraud or security incidents, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets subject to appropriate protections.

  • Amazon Web Services: hosts the API, queues, processing functions, databases, and operational monitoring in the United States.
  • Google Gemini: receives the selected Discord messages, optional Channel Context, analysis instructions, and any question you submit to generate the requested result. Google's handling of that information is governed by the applicable Google terms and privacy practices for the configured Gemini service.
  • ExtensionPay and its payment providers: provide checkout, subscription management, cancellation, and payment-status verification.
  • Google Chrome: provides extension APIs and local or synchronized browser storage used by the extension and ExtensionPay.

7. Retention

  • Analysis jobs: selected messages, Channel Context, questions, generated results, and job state are stored temporarily in a backend job record scheduled to expire approximately 24 hours after creation. Automated database deletion may occur after the scheduled expiration time.
  • Operational events: limited usage and operational event records are scheduled to expire after approximately 90 days.
  • Usage and subscription records: installation, daily usage, plan, subscription status, and related account records may be retained while needed to provide the service, enforce limits, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.
  • Local saved data: saved results, evidence quotes, and Channel Context remain in your Chrome profile until you delete or clear them or uninstall the extension.
  • Payment records: ExtensionPay and its payment providers retain billing records according to their own policies and legal requirements.

8. Security

Data is transmitted to our API and service providers using HTTPS. We use cloud access controls, limited service permissions, temporary job retention, and monitoring intended to protect the service. Raw Discord message text and Channel Context are excluded from our application and API access logs.

No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you should not submit secrets or content that would cause serious harm if exposed.

9. Human Access

We do not permit humans to read selected Discord content except when you specifically request support and consent to access, when access is necessary to investigate abuse or a security incident, when required by law, or when information has been aggregated or de-identified for internal operations.

10. Your Choices and Controls

Deleting or uninstalling the extension does not automatically cancel a paid subscription. Subscription cancellation must be completed through ExtensionPay's subscription-management page.

  • Use Pick again or cancel the range selection before submitting a request.
